Branching forms (path-aware progress)
When your form uses Jump to page (or auto-jump funnels), progress follows the visited path — the pages the respondent actually opened — not every page in the Studio schema.- Progress bar: fills from the visited path (so skipped branch pages do not inflate “steps left”).
- Tiles: pages on other branches stay hidden until the respondent visits them; completed path steps stay marked complete.
Enabling the Stepper
1
Add more than one page
In Studio, split your form into pages. The stepper only appears when there are two or more pages.
2
Open General Settings
Open Studio → Form settings (gear) → General.
3
Choose a style
Set Wizard stepper to Tiles, Progress bar only, or None. Optionally set the stepper accent color to match your brand.
Best Practices for High Conversion
Keep Titles Concise
Page titles render directly inside the stepper UI. Keep them short (e.g., “Personal Info” instead of “Tell us about your personal background”).
Front-Load Complexity
Place harder, required questions early in the flow. This ensures the progress bar feels honest and momentum carries the user to the end.
