Keeping your workspace clean and compliant is essential. Flex Forms provides granular control over how and when form schemas and submission data are removed.

Deleting a Form Schema

If a form has run its course, you can permanently remove it from your Hub.
1

Locate the Form

Navigate to the Forms Hub in your Filament panel.
2

Execute Deletion

Open the context menu (three dots) on the form card and click Delete.
3

Confirm Action

Carefully confirm the deletion prompt.
Destructive Action: Deleting a form removes the entire Studio configuration, logic rules, and published links. This action cannot be undone.

The Data Retention Architecture

Deleting a form schema does not automatically purge your historical data. Flex Forms employs a decoupled architecture to protect your respondent records.

Submissions Data

Raw submissions tied specifically to the deleted form will be orphaned or removed based on your specific database cascade configurations. Always export critical CSVs first.

Unified Contacts

People who submitted the form are stored in the global Contacts Directory. Deleting the form will not delete these global user profiles.

Compliance & Best Practices

To maintain GDPR compliance and a pristine Insights dashboard, adhere to these guidelines:
  • Export Before Destruction: Always run a full CSV export from the Submissions tab before deleting a production form.
  • Scrub Test Data Regularly: Frequently delete test submissions generated during your staging phase so they do not pollute your live production Insights and conversion rates.
  • Enforce Company Policy: Manually purge the Unified Contacts directory according to your organization’s legal data retention limits.
