# Less than or equal

> When clause operator: The number is at or below this threshold.

**Less than or equal** checks whether a numeric answer is **at or below** your threshold — including an exact match at the cap.

Use it for spending limits, inventory caps, “score ≤ failing threshold”, and tier ceilings. **Number fields only** — date fields use **Before** without an inclusive variant.

## Exact behavior

* **Numbers only.**
* Blank source or comparison → never matches.
* Float comparison (`<=`); `"100"` vs `100` works.
* Pick another field in **Value** for dynamic ceilings.

## Common mistakes

* Expecting **≤** on dates — not in Studio for date family.
* Using **Less than** when boundary should pass — use **≤**.
* Single rule for both over-cap and under-cap — split into two rules or use separate **Rules** rows.
