# Jump to page

> Then action: Skip the normal Next flow and go to a specific page.

**Jump to page** sends the respondent **directly to another page** in your multi-page form — skipping intermediate pages when **When** matches.

Use for quiz outcomes, triage routing, “skip details” paths, and winner/loser branches. Requires a [multi-page form](/guides/multi-page-stepper).

***

## When to choose this

| Goal | Use **Jump to page** | Use something else instead |
| - | - | - |
| Skip irrelevant pages | ✓ | — |
| Show/hide fields on same page | ✗ | **[Show blocks](/features/studio/logic/actions/show-blocks)** / **[Hide blocks](/features/studio/logic/actions/hide-blocks)** |
| Prevent submit | ✗ | **[Hide submit](/features/studio/logic/actions/hide-submit)** |
| Auto-advance on single choice | ✗ | **Auto-jump** in [Behavior settings](/features/settings/behavior) (works with jump target) |
| Single-page form | ✗ | Split into pages first |

***

## Exact behavior

* Sets active **jump target** to selected page ID while rule matches.
* Normal **Next** order bypassed for that navigation step.
* Only **valid page IDs** apply — deleted pages are **cascade-scrubbed**; Studio / flow health warn on incomplete jumps.
* **Multiple jump rules:** **last matching jump wins**.
* Skipped pages: fields there may stay **unanswered** — operators reading those fields stay false until visited.
* **Terminal** pages are submit steps — Map shows the badge; path validation uses the visited path.

***

## What changes on fill

| Situation | Result |
| - | - |
| **Auto-jump** enabled | Instant page change when **When** true (answer syncs live; **Next** remains as fallback) |
| Rule stops matching | Next navigation may return to default order on subsequent steps |
| Jump + Hide submit | Independent effects |
| Invalid/deleted page id | Jump ignored — scrub / flow health flag it |

## Configure in Studio

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create multiple pages">
    Drag blocks into Page columns in the **Pages** sidebar ([multi-page guide](/guides/multi-page-stepper)). Mark terminal/submit pages as needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prefer Branch for per-answer jumps">
    On a choice field → **Branch** → **Go to page** for that answer. Set **Otherwise** for the default path.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Or open Rules for advanced When">
    Top bar → **Logic** → **Rules**. Jump routing for score thresholds and complex groups lives here.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Build When (Rules path)">
    Score thresholds, country lists, yes/no skips — use [operators](/features/studio/logic/operators/overview) appropriate to field types.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add Then → Jump to page">
    Pick destination page by name from dropdown.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Optional: enable Auto-jump">
    **Form Settings → Behavior** — instant transition when rule matches ([Behavior settings](/features/settings/behavior)).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check Map + Simulator">
    **Flow** shows jump edges and terminals. **Simulator** walks the path with mock answers. Resolve flow health criticals before publish.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Worked examples

### Quiz winner

> **When** Score **greater than** `80` → **Jump to page** `Winner`

Score from [Calculate](/features/studio/logic/actions/calculate) target.

### International path

> **When** Country **is none of** `US, CA` → **Jump to page** `International shipping`

Remember blank country does not match **Is none of** — add **Is empty** path if needed.

### Skip optional details

> **Branch** on “Skip details” → Yes → **Go to page** `Summary`\
> Or Rules: **When** “Skip details” **equals** `Yes` → **Jump to page** `Summary`

### Low score remediation

> **When** Score **less than** `50` → **Jump to page** `Retake instructions`

## Test on fill

<Steps>
  <Step title="Trigger jump branch">
    Confirm landing page — intermediate pages skipped.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Non-jump / Otherwise branch">
    Normal Next order (or Otherwise jump) through remaining pages.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Auto-jump if enabled">
    Page changes without Next click when answer selected.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fields on skipped pages">
    Remain blank — later **When** reading them stays false. Submit validates the **visited** path.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Multiple jump rules">
    Verify exclusive **When** or accept last-wins behavior. Confirm in **Simulator**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

***

## Common mistakes

* Jump target deleted but rule left incomplete — clear flow health before publish.
* Expecting answers on skipped pages for later rules.
* Multiple jumps without clear exclusivity — confusing last-wins outcome.
* Single-page form — jump has no effect.
* Forgetting **Otherwise** on Branch so unmatched answers fall through unexpectedly.
